SEVI 15 YEARS CELEBRATION – A NIGHT FOR THE HISTORY BOOKS!

March 29, 2025 – Sofia Live Club, Bulgaria

For five years, I’ve been following SEVI, and it all started in a time when the world hit pause—venues fell silent, stages gathered dust, and the volume was brutally muted by the pandemic. But on March 29, 2025, history was written. Sofia Live Club witnessed a night of pure rock 'n' roll euphoria, a performance so electrifying, so flawless, that I dare say—it was the show of the year!

Sofia Live Club is a venue that Belgium can only dream of. A perfect cocktail of rock ‘n’ roll spirit and top-tier bar vibes—this place breathes music. And SEVI? SEVI didn’t just perform; they detonated!

From the first riff, Rally and Ivo’s guitars were on fire, ripping through the air like sonic lightning bolts. The rhythm section? Absolute carnage! Nick, the madman on drums, unleashed a solo so intense that his sticks literally shattered into pieces. That’s the kind of drummer who doesn’t just play—he dominates!

And then came Thomas Vikström (Therion & Candlemass). The crowd went wild as he joined SEVI for the first time ever on stage, belting out the 2019 anthem The Art of War. The chemistry between Svetlana and Thomas was off the charts—pure magic, pure power!

Of course, no SEVI show is complete without the classics. ‘Hate You’, ‘Dark Knight, ‘Insane’—they all made the setlist, each one delivering a punch that left the audience breathless. But then... the ultimate surprise happened.

But let’s not forget the beating heart of SEVI—Svetlana Bliznakova. Her voice isn’t just powerful, it’s a force of nature. One moment, she’s roaring with enough grit to shake the walls; the next, she’s soaring into melodies so hauntingly beautiful they send shivers down your spine. On this night, she didn’t just sing—she owned every note, commanded every emotion, and made it impossible to look away. Her vocals were the fire that fueled the band, and the crowd felt every single syllable deep in their bones.

The moment Jen Majura was announced, the place erupted! And when ‘To Hell and Back’ blasted through the speakers, it was game over—absolute insanity! Just when we thought we’d seen it all, Svetlana turned to the crowd, grinned, and pulled off one more masterstroke. She led Jen Majura to the piano. The lights dimmed. And then… ‘A World That Doesn’t Fit’ echoed through Sofia Live Club. Goosebumps. Tears. Pure euphoria.

And let’s talk about Jen Majura for a second. The guitarist whose fingers move faster than a Marvel superhero in full battle mode—she doesn’t just play; she commands the instrument like a six-string sorceress. Every note she touched felt like a bolt of pure adrenaline injected straight into the crowd.

This wasn’t just a concert. This was SEVI making history. And if you weren’t there? Well, my friend, you missed the night of a lifetime!

As V’s Metal Media Belgium, I traveled all the way from Belgium to Sofia because there was no way I was missing this celebration. Five years of following SEVI, and this was the night where everything came together. As a photographer and music journalist, capturing this moment was an absolute must. The energy, the passion, the raw power of SEVI on stage—this is why we live for rock ‘n’ roll. SEVI didn’t just play a show—they set the stage on fire and left us craving for more!

"Of course, I had to ask SEVI some burning questions...

Quick Q&A with SEVI

What has been the most unforgettable moment in SEVI's journey so far?

Sevi: I think they are at least several unforgettable moments such as our first show on a big festival dividing backstage with bands like Europe, Helloween , Sabaton etc
Then our first featuring with a big artist such as Jen Majura(ex Evanescence)
And I will never forget the invitation of the producer of Scorpions Dieter Dierks to be guests in his home.
Moments like this make me feel greatful for the opportunities we had in our career so far.

If you could give one piece of advice to your younger selves when SEVI was just starting out, what would it be?

Sevi: Hm, well maybe to be less tolerant haha, sometimes being too good is not good in the music business.

6. Do you have any special traditions or superstitions as a band before going on stage?

Sevi: Oh we are so boring in this ha ha
We just drink coffee and make our exercises before show and after the show our favorite ritual is to see and hug our fans.

To wrap it up, may I wish you another 15 incredible years with SEVI, and may I experience many more shows and unforgettable moments like this one in Sofia. Here’s to the next chapter of SEVI’s journey—louder, stronger, and more powerful than ever!

Stay Loud, Stay Proud, Stay SEVI!
