SEVI 15 Years Anniversary Tour started off with a bang in L’esprit Bière!

From Belgium to Brive-la-Gaillarde: A Journey into Pure Rock ‘n’ Roll with SEVI and DARK DOGS!

My journey began a day before the show. Leaving Belgium, I headed straight for Brive-la-Gaillarde (Nouvelle-Aquitaine), eager to witness a historic moment: SEVI’s very first concert in France. A band that has been shaking up the European alternative metal scene for 15 years was finally setting foot on French soil. But this trip wasn’t just about SEVI. It was also about a legendary meeting: Franck Renard. A man whose expertise in bands, radio, and management commands respect. Hats off to you, Franck! Merci pour cette mise en place impeccable et un service au top! Et aussi une grande merci a L'esprit Bière, Un pub avec de la classe, une hospitalité exceptionnelle et des gens sympathiques.

The Search for the Perfect Band...

When SEVI asked me to find a band to share the stage with for this concert, I knew it wouldn’t be an easy task. The list of potential bands was endless, but I needed something special. A band that could match SEVI’s explosive energy. Then it happened: Dark Dogs blasted through my speakers, and I knew instantly—this was it! The chemistry between SEVI and Dark Dogs was undeniable from the start. On thursday, we picked up Nick, and Ivo from the airport, and the vibe during the soundcheck was already electric. Two bands, one mission: to tear Brive-la-Gaillarde apart with an unforgettable night of pure rock and metal.

Dark Dogs: Raw, Untamed, and Relentless!

The first note Dark Dogs struck was like a sledgehammer to the chest. The band from Bordeaux unleashed an unstoppable energy on stage. Hard rock in its purest form, rooted in the ‘70s yet infused with a modern ferocity that hit you like a fist to the face.

The riffs? Razor-sharp. The drums? Thunderous. The energy? Unquestionable.

The band instantly ignited the crowd, and the atmosphere became electric. This wasn’t just a support act. This was a (dog) attack. The stage was set. SEVI had a worthy ally for the night.

Brive in Ruins: SEVI’s Metal Takeover!!!

From the moment Svetlana Bliznakova stepped onto the stage, the venue exploded into a storm of raw energy and emotion. Her voice? As haunting as it is explosive . Her presence? Untouchable rock goddess. But SEVI is far more than just a charismatic frontwoman.

  • Rally Velinov’s bass lines? Like a punch to the ribs, deep and unforgiving.
  • Yvo Galabov’s seven-string guitar solos? Razor-sharp and cutting through like a butcher’s blade.
  • Nick Nikolaev on drums? A beast. A brute. A relentless force of nature pounding away like a storm.

The crowd was in ecstasy. Every riff, every scream, every earth-shattering drum hit left an indelible mark on Brive-la-Gaillarde. This wasn’t a concert. This was war. A baptism by fire.          A statement. SEVI had bulldozed through France.

L’Esprit Bière: A Pub with Pure Rock ‘n’ Roll Attitude

The venue? Perfect. L’Esprit Bière is no ordinary bar. This is a place where rock and metal aren’t just played—they’re lived. The atmosphere, the people, the setting—everything radiated a passion for music. It was the perfect battleground for these bands to unleash their energy. And they did. Brutally.

SEVI’s Journey Continues: Portugal and the Grand Finale in Sofia

SEVI isn’t stopping here. After celebrating their 15th anniversary at L’Esprit Bière, they’re heading to Portugal to perform with Hardline (Johnny Gioeli and Anna Portalupi) and Tarantula in Estoril. But the ultimate highlight? March 29 at Sofia Live Club, Bulgaria. This will be the party of the year, featuring guest performances from none other than Jen Majura (ex-Evanescence) and Viktor Halström, lead singer of Therion and Candlemass. This is a show destined for the history books.

A Night That Redefined Alternative Metal History

I’m still recovering from this night. One thing is undeniable: Dark Dogs and SEVI have conquered Brive-la-Gaillarde. This was pure, raw, and unfiltered energy—a tornado of rock and metal fury that shook the city to its core. Two bands that found each other, a crowd that went wild, and a venue that became the perfect arena for this spectacle.

This is what rock is meant to be. Uncompromising. Heavy. Honest. Real.
